CaseCracker Awarded Prestigious NCIS Contract

Cardinal Peak and New River Systems Corp. announced today the award of a competitive bid to furnish digital interview recording equipment for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). This contract was awarded after an 18-month pilot project conducted by NCIS to evaluate available systems. Cardinal Peak and several competitors were included in this evaluation; after the evaluation, NCIS selected CaseCracker as the best of breed interview recording system.

“CaseCracker, Cardinal Peak’s innovative platform for recording and managing investigative interviews, offers the Navy the best enterprise-level solution,” said Edward Albers, CEO of New River Systems. “The ease of use and reliability of CaseCracker will prove instrumental to NCIS in recording interrogations.

“New River Systems is an essential partner for us,” said Howdy Pierce, Managing Partner and co-founder of Cardinal Peak. “They are an innovative, fast-moving partner in supporting federal contracts.”

This worldwide contract will result in mobile CaseCracker systems being sent to war zone areas as well as select U.S. Navy ships. Stationary systems will be provided to NCIS field offices around the world. The contract was awarded through the NCIS Information Technology Directorate.

Army CID and Air Force OSI are among the other military organizations currently using the CaseCracker system to record investigative interrogations.
